Being Mindful

Mindfulness can make a tremendous impact on individuals’ working lives, which can often be a main source of frustration and unhappiness. Transforming work from something that pays the bills into something that is truly fulfilling can be a difficult task, but mindfulness can ease the transition. This is what we learned from Big Boss & Roadies Winner Ashutosh Kaushik. Sharing dais with him as chief guest in MSME award organised by IEMS was learning for me.

In order to practice mindfulness at work, people must identify their true purpose. You can also contact team prism philosophy session for your team. Truly listening to and valuing clients, coworkers, and the people that make up the fabric of work-based connections can also help improve job satisfaction and job performance.

To increase their mindfulness at work, individuals must put seven important principles into practice:

1. Self-knowledge: Discovering their true identities and characters can prevent people from latching on to false ideas of themselves.

2. Unity: Recognizing indelible links with others promotes harmony and conviction.

3. Truth: Setting aside issues of personal ego to pursue the truth in any situation can produce powerful results.

4. Awareness: Being fully aware of the present is an integral part of successful mindfulness practice.

5. Service: Genuinely attending to the needs of others increases happiness and peace of mind.

6. Reason: Acting on a broader basis and working in line with everyone’s best interests can improve workplace relationships.

7. Wonder: Finding the beauty and enthusiasm at the heart of every effort leads to a true state of wonder.

Once individuals achieve mindfulness at work, there are seven specific mindfulness working principles that can help them maintain it:

  1. Begin all work with a moment of stillness.

  2. Separate work components with pauses.

  3. Work until projects are completely finished.

  4. Meet the need at the heart of every job.

  5. Allow people and instruments to do their jobs.

  6. Work optimally and focus on the job at hand.

  7. Let the work flow in a systematic way.
